These Pizza Fries combine crispy baked French fries with melted pizza cheese, zesty pizza sauce, and savory pepperoni for a quick and flavorful snack or meal. Perfect for parties, game days, or weeknight dinners, this recipe features a simple fry seasoning and can be customized with extra toppings like vegetables, meats, or different cheese blends. A fun, easy-to-make dish that pairs well with dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 26 oz bag frozen French fries, any cut
  • 8 oz shredded pizza-blend cheese
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce, warmed, plus more for dipping
  • 2 oz pepperoni, cut into quarters

Fry Seasoning:

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

Directions

1. Prepare the Fry Seasoning

In a small bowl, combine onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and dried oregano. Set aside.

2. Cook the Fries

Preheat the oven and bake the frozen French fries according to package instructions. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick-sprayed foil for easier cleanup.

3. Season the Fries

Once the fries are hot, sprinkle with the fry seasoning. Use tongs to toss the fries until they are evenly coated.

4. Assemble the Pizza Fries

Pile the seasoned fries near the center of the baking sheet. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the fries, then spoon on dollops of warmed pizza sauce. Add half of the pepperoni, followed by the remaining cheese and pepperoni.

5. Melt the Cheese

Return the baking sheet to the oven for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve

Serve immediately with extra warmed pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.

Tips

  • Line the baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.
  • Use tongs to gently toss fries with seasoning without breaking them.
  • For extra crispiness, spread the fries evenly on the pan before assembling.
  • Warm the pizza sauce slightly so it blends better with the melted cheese.

Variations and Substitutions

  • Cheese options: Try mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend of Italian cheeses.
  • Protein options: Add cooked sausage, bacon bits, or sliced ham.
  • Vegetables: Top with diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or olives for more flavor.
  • Healthier version: Use baked sweet potato fries or air-fried fries.
  • Gluten-free: Use gluten-free fries and pizza sauce.
